Who this is for

These docs are written for a customer IT administrator — someone who can:

• Reach the Operator Console in a browser
• Interpret HTTP status codes and admin API responses
• Coordinate with Residion for tasks that are not self-serve

They are not written for Residion engineers. Internal jargon, unverified roadmaps, and product-repo paths are omitted on purpose.

Roles you will encounter

Role	What it can do in the Operator Console
it_admin / app_owner	Mutating actions (create keys, trigger ingestion, change routing, set budgets)
auditor	Read-only. Any mutation returns 403 (RES-ADMIN-403).

If buttons appear to do nothing when you are signed in as auditor, that is expected server-side enforcement — not a broken UI. See Sign in and roles.
