Getting started

Residion is a sovereign, on-premise AI appliance: company-aware assistant, grounded document Q&A (RAG with citations), natural-language structured-data Q&A, and approval-gated back-office automation. It runs entirely inside your network. It is CPU-first (no GPU prerequisite) and air-gap capable. The Residion cloud control plane sees metadata only — customer content does not leave the premises.

Who should read this

A competent customer IT administrator responsible for operating the appliance after Residion has completed initial install and connector credential setup.

  1. Confirm your host meets the hardware requirements.
  2. Understand the deployment shape (single host, three trust rings, console ports).
  3. Open the Operator Console and complete the day-to-day tasks in that guide.
  4. Read What still needs Residion so you know which screens do not exist yet.
